DISEC

Agenda Item

Reevaluating internationally feasible regulations regarding children's development and securing the sustainable satisfaction of vital necessities in post-conflict demilitarization zones.

Description

The DISEC committee of GSLMUN'26 focuses on an agenda centered on children's psychosocial and physical development in post-conflict zones. The delegates' discussions will demonstrate realistic and feasible solutions regarding the sustainability of education, healthcare, access to clean water, settlements, transportation, regulation of consumption, and further vital necessities. The solutions ought to be acceptable for all member states by mainly focusing on children's necessities, leaving less room for politics to negatively affect their development. To better foster this development, delegates are expected to recognize children's multifaceted requirements, both physical and psychological. The delegates will strive to create mechanisms addressing these needs, determining what centres will be built and how will they be used, all by considering the gaps in legal frameworks. To achieve meaningful progress on this global issue, the committee will work collaboratively toward drafting a comprehensive resolution that is universally applicable.
